We are busy for the next few weeks at Westvale. Listed below are some upcoming Westvale events. There are also dates listed when important information will be communicated with parents.

Tomorrow (Nov. 16) – Students in Grades 1 to 6 will participate in a presentation from the Toronto Zoo that focuses on the Great Lakes ecosystem and how we need to work to keep it healthy.

November 17 – Photo Retake Day – Students who were absent for the October photo day will have the opportunity to have their photo taken. Families and caregivers who were not pleased with the first set of photos, are also able to send the package back with their children to have another photo taken on November 17. Photos will be taken starting at the beginning of the day. Photographers will not be at the school for the entire day.

November 21 – Starting next week, Junior Students will have the opportunity to join Intramural Volleyball.

Progress Reports – November 23 – Students will bring home their Term 1 Progress Reports. Please read over the progress reports so you understand what your child is learning. As always, if you have any questions about how your child is doing in school, you may contact your child’s teacher.

Humane Society Presentations – November 24 & 25 – Students from JK to 6 will participate in presentations from the Humane Society of Kitchener-Waterloo, Stratford and Perth. Topics are geared to different grade levels and will vary from safety with animals to animals in technology and looking after our pets.

Individual Education Plans – November 30 – Families of students who have an IEP will receive the document electronically (via email provided to school).

Thank you for continuing to support your child’s learning at Westvale.
