It is with a very heavy heart that the Westvale Public School community mourns the passing of one of our students, Reem Alkhatib.  Reem was a student in Mrs. Wilson’s class for the past 7 years.  We will remember Reem for the huge smile she came to school with each and every day, her love of music and Pete the Cat books, and the excitement she had for going on field trips.  Reem will be sadly missed by the staff and students at Westvale P.S.

In honour of Reem and her family, we have lowered our flag at the school and at the Waterloo Region District School Board Education Centre.

Our deepest condolences go out to the Alkhatib family.
