We are very excited to welcome your children to Westvale Public School on Tuesday, September 6.
We have been preparing to keep your children safe, feel part of the Westvale school community and be excited to learn at school.
Since we are unable to share classroom or teacher assignments via School-Day for this year, here is the Westvale plan for the first day of school – September 6.
- All staff will be outside after 8:50 am for the school start.
- All staff will be wearing bright coloured vests and will carry a copy of the alphabetical student list for the school.
- Parents can inquire with any staff member about what homeroom your student is in and then find their appropriate area to line up.
- Signs for the homerooms will be placed outside (e.g., on chairs, school walls) to show line up and dismissal locations.
- Please view the linked map for the class locations.
- Classes will enter the school at 9 am.
- Classes will be dismissed from the same line up locations at 3:20 pm
Please don’t worry if students have not found their classes by the 9 am bell time. Some educators will remain outside and escort these students into the gym. We will escort the students to their correct classrooms.
Late arrivals are asked to go to the front door of the school and we will escort students to classrooms
Please note: we cannot post class lists on exterior school doors as this is a violation of student privacy.
