Here is information about upcoming events for next week at Westvale Public School.

Winter Walk to School Day on Wednesday, Feb. 1

The journey outside is a safe and healthy choice for students and parents. Join the walk this February 1 and provide your kids with the jumpstart they need to perform better in the classroom! Let’s encourage, educate, and learn together!

Families who need to drive can park five minutes away and walk the rest of the way (find your Drive to 5 Maps here: https://www.stswr.ca/walkzone/maps/). 

Walking outside in cold air can reduce stress, increase serotonin (the happiness hormone), and even though the action may be slower, walking in snow leads to greater heart conditioning and increased endurance over time.

Look for the check in teams at the front of the school and behind the gym to celebrate your arrival to school. We are counting our Westvale walkers for a school competition. 

Domino’s Pizza Night on Thursday, Feb. 2

Please help our school council representatives in raising some money for Westvale Public School which will be used for items which could include: Outdoor recess Equipment, Items for the Library and Music programs, and other possible items discussed and voted upon at school council (more to come on these initiatives).

Enter the code W2023 for EVERY pizza you order (so if you order three pizza’s you will need to enter W2023 three times) **** please note we had some technical issues with this code last time. If entering the code for EACH pizza does NOT work online please call the store and order via phone to ensure each pizza is added as part of the fundraiser.

Each pizza ordered will result in $3.00 donated back to the School Council.

Our February School Council meeting will be held on February 1 starting at 6:30 pm. More information is found on the school website on the School Council Page.
