The 2023-24 school year is drawing to a close with much success for Westvale students. Students have grown academically, social-emotionally and physically this year.

Today we are celebrating the many special activities and events that students engaged in over the past ten months by watching a slideshow as a school. The Grade 6 students will also be cheered out of the gym by the student body as they move on to their new schools in September.

We are saying goodbye to several staff members and we want to show our gratitude for their work and commitment with our students.

We are grateful that Ms. Moscrip was able to work with 3BFI and 1B for the past month when Mrs. Rosati began her maternity leave a bit earlier than expected.

Mrs. Chan worked tirelessly with 5/6AFI over the past school year. She was the steady presence for the students for the 23-24 school year and we are thankful she was their teacher.

Mme. Bahgat brought a strong French presence to 6A Core French and several French Immersion classes over the past few months. We are happy that she will be beginning a full time contract at Westheights Public School next year.

Mrs. Brunsting has spent the last two years teaching Grade 5 and Grade 4/5  at Westvale Public School. Mrs. Brunsting will be teaching Grade 5 at Lexington Public School in the fall. We thank Mrs. Brunsting for her dedication to our students.

Mrs. Martin taught Kindergarten at Westvale for the past two years. She will be moving on to Grade 3 and Kindergarten Planning  at Linwood Public School next year. We are thankful that  many of our students started their educational journey with Mrs. Martin

Mme. Beddoe has taught French Immersion at Westvale for several years. We wish her much happiness as she enters retirement. She has made a big impact on our French Immersion program students over the years.

We thank Mrs. Hesch for your endless dedication to the ACE students at Westvale. She is retiring after 32 years of working with Westvale students. She was here when the school opened and will be greatly missed.

As we finish the school year, I want to remind you that the first day back to school will be Wednesday, September 4, 2024
