Thank you to the Westvale Public School community for your generosity and care for others. For the Terry Fox Run fundraiser, we raised $1495 towards cancer research. Today for the Toonies4Kids benefiting Food4Kids, we raised $114.40. Thank you to all the families who also donated online to Food4Kids and Nutrition for Learning.

We are holding several special days in the next few weeks. Here are the dates for events that involve all Westvale students.

  1. Bus Evacuation Training – November 8
  2. Remembrance Day Assembly – November 11
  3. Photo Retake Afternoon – November 14 in the afternoon
  4. Progress Reports come home (Grades 1-6) – November 18
  5. Initial Observations of Learning come home (Kindergarten) – November 18
  6. School Council Movie Night – November 21 (students will be voting on the choice of movie in the next week and more information will be shared) – Doors open at 6:15 pm for a 6:30 pm movie start.

Fall Clothing Swap

Westvale Public School is hosting a fall clothing swap on November 15. This is an easy way to decrease waste and increase the recycling of clothing. It also supports families in our community. Please help us, help each other and make the planet a little greener!

All are welcome at the following times:

  • November 15 – 8:30-8:55 am and 3:20-5:00 pm
  • Multi-purpose Room

We are accepting donated items the week prior to the swap – November 4-8

Please drop off donations at the BLUE gym doors before or after school. (8:45 – 9:00, 3:20 – 3:45)

All items must be clean, in good condition, and for the fall or winter.

  • No holes
  • No missing buttons or zippers
  • No stains
