We are hoping that the spring weather will return later this week. We wanted to update Westvale families about some upcoming school events and let you know about the success of the Used Book Sale.

School Council Used Book Sale

Once again the Used Book Sale was a huge success. Thank you for your support to donate books and come shop to refill your bookshelves. Your generosity helped organizers raise $1469.00. This money will support Nutrition for Learning and future events hosted by the School Council. Thank you to the team of dedicated volunteers for your time and energy to host this event.

Science Fair and Invention Convention – April 24

The Westvale Science Fair and Invention Convention will be held on Thursday, April 24. Families are invited to view the projects from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. We welcome all Westvale families to attend. 

The Science Fair Judges will begin asking questions to students about their projects at 6:30 pm. Our Science Fair and Invention Convention is not a competition but a way to celebrate science. The Science Fair finishes at 7:30 pm. 

More details for Science Fair participants will be shared closer to the event date. 

Westvale Clothing Swap – May 1

The Spring Clothing Swap organized by Westvale staff members will be held on May 1 in our Multi-Purpose Room. Staff members are busy planning the event and we hope you’ll help by donating some clothing that your children have outgrown.

Please donate clothing for the swap the week  of April 22 to April 25 at the primary doors before or after school. Look for the balloons and signs.

Please keep the following in mind:

  • Please NO toys, Maternity clothing, intimates, adult clothing
  • All clothes must be freshly washed so they look and smell good
  • All clothes must be in good condition
    • No holes
    • No missing buttons or zippers
    • No stains
    • Not worn out from multiple washings

For the May 1 Swap all are welcome! Spread the word as we want to share the items we have collected with as many community members as possible and to lessen our environmental impact through this initiative. No donations or money necessary to participate. We want our generous contributions to be shared in our community. More details will be shared closer to the event.
