December 18th, 2023
Here are some reminders for this week.
Lost and Found
Until Wednesday, December 20 at 3:45 pm, we have Lost and Found items on tables at the front foyer of the school. Students will have a chance to look through the items. Families and caregivers are welcome to come after school (3:20 to 3:35 pm) today, Tuesday or Wednesday to double check for their children’s belongings. Unclaimed items will be donated to local charities.
Winter Pizza Order
The school pizza order for the winter month is due by December 20 (Wednesday) at midnight. Order through School-day. For the six Fridays of pizza, you will pay $11.50 for a slice every other week.
The winter pizza days are the following:
- January 12
- January 26
- February 9
- February 23
- March 8
- March 22
Winter Assembly
On Thursday, December 21 students will be participating in a Winter Assembly. It will be a fun sing-along assembly to build school spirit taking place from 12 pm to 1 pm. Several classes have been practising for the assembly.
Parents are welcome to come and sing along. There is limited seating for parents as student seating is the priority for the school assembly. Families are asked to be respectful participants and not take photos or videos during the assembly. Caregivers are asked to sign in as visitors to the school at the side door by the gym and remain for the whole assembly.
Comfy, Cozy Day
This Friday (December 22) is “Comfy, Cozy Day”. Students may wear their comfortable clothes that day.
Belongings brought home
On December 22 students will be bringing home all of their personal belongings such as indoor shoes and any clothing they may be storing at school. Pencil cases and personal desk supplies will remain at school. Our custodians will be working hard to clean hallways and classrooms thoroughly.
January 8 We will return from the Winter Break on January 8 and indoor shoes and any necessary extra clothing should be sent to school with students at that time.

Thank you so much for your generous contributions to the Food Bank of Waterloo Region last week during the Westvale Public School Food Drive. As of December 18, we collected 47 boxes of food and $793 in online donations. Thank you for the difference you are making in our community.
