Westvale School Council for 2025-26
Our Westvale School Council plays and important role in the school community. All parents/guardians are welcome and encouraged to attend School Council meetings. Westvale School Council meets to share information and provide an opportunity for parent input to school programs, initiatives and plans.
Each year, at the first School Council meeting, an election is held to determine who will hold the positions of Chair (one position), Treasurer (one position), Secretary (one position) and Members-At-Large (multiple positions). These positions are the voting members of Council and it is important that these people commit to attending all council meetings. Positions where only one person has expressed an interest will be acclaimed. Parents/Guardians can participate in and attend Westvale School Council meetings as non-voting members.
For the 2025-26 school year all meetings will occur on the 2nd Tuesday of the month in a hybrid format (both in-person and on-line.) There will be no meeting in December. The in-person meeting will occur at 6:00 p.m. in the school library. The on-line link will be sent to the School Council group each month.
